Join Duncraig Edible Gardeners to make a compost pile on 4th of May, the weekend of world Permaculture day.
Compost uses waste products which cost nothing and turns them into a nutrient rich microbial life enhancing soil amendment which is priceless. Jim is Duncraig Edible Garden’s Master compost maker. Under his guidance you will participate in making this next batch of the secret ingredient for continuing productivity at Duncraig Edible Garden. Learn how to make compost and take the information home to apply at your place.

We will construct one of Jim’s famous moist compost layer cakes, which will feed the soil in the garden for months to come.
Please bring any organic garden waste, shredded paper, cardboard you would like to contribute to the compost cake.
Meet with us in the garden near the forecourt of the Duncraig Public library. We will begin at about 9am.

Wear clothing suitable for the weather and the task.(closed shoes, hat, and clothes you don’t mind getting grubby). Bring a mug for your drink and any food you’d like to contribute to our shared morning tea at about 10.30am. Workshop participation is free for Duncraig Edible Garden financial members.
