Buzzy Workshop to welcome Spring

All things Waxy, Buzzy and Sweet...the much awaited follow up to our previous booked out Bee workshop.

From 10 until Noon

Nadine is organizing this workshop

A workshop where we will be making bees wax coated cotton wraps, wax coated fruit and vegetable bags and bees wax lip balm.

If you would like to make them at home, you will be able to purchase packs of cotton bags, cotton sheets and wax to take home with you for a small fee.

An Apiarist will also present, who will give an introduction to Beekeeping, some information sheets to take home and some fresh organic honey to taste. There might be minor changes to content covered in the workshop that we will announce closer to the date.

Please note there will be no bees brought to the garden so no risk of stings to anyone (there may be random bees flying around in the garden as they are free to do so and pollinate out plants).

Please purchase 2 tickets ($20 total value) for a family attending the event.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No miminum age, although we ask parents to take full responsibility of their children at all times. We are just next to Duncraig Public Library which is great to provide older kids with some entertainment while parents are listening to the talk.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Plenty of parking available, if you need help with transport or picking up from Warwick or Greenwood train station, please contact us and we will see if we can help.

What can I bring to the event?

No need to bring anything but we always appreciate people contributing to morning tea or share the harvest table (your excess home grown or home made products). We have cups and chairs but you are welcome to bring your own if you like. Please make sure you are sun smart.

If you have an old iron and towels please bring along. We will have limited spots for hands on activities so the more workstations we can create the more people will get a chance to have a go.
