Workshops

Learning and Doing.

Duncraig Edible Garden aims to support and educate everyone interested in gardening, beginners to skilled gardeners alike. We’ve had our first ‘Wicking Garden Bed’ workshop with Charles Otway on July 17, 2014. Duncraig Edible Garden operates on permaculture principles and many workshops are run by local WA based permaculture experts.

Topics include composting, gardening with kids, sustainable gardening ideas, organic gardening tips, seasonal gardening ideas  soil basics, water harvesting, seed saving, companion planting, propagating, keeping chooks in urban blocks, pest control, and more.

Use our links to past workshops. Click through the images and pages and you’ll have access to notes, videos and other information shared in these workshops. For those, who missed out, or those, who’d like to have another read about the topics covered, enjoy!

You are also welcome to send us your pictures or videos from Duncraig Edible Garden events, or share on Facebook & tag us!

Our workshops are free and you do not have to register prior to the event. Showing up on the day is fine. RSVP’s are always appreciated.

Bring a chair or a cushion to sit on, a cup for your morning tea or coffee, and something for our Share the Harvest table if you can. It can be anything home grown or home made. Not a problem if you can’t bring anything, just come down and enjoy mingling with our friendly community.
